Europe´s number 1 at maintenance free oil separating engineering

Aiport Leipzig

Since 1990 this Airport has been being enlarged step by step to one of the most modern airports in Europe, which stands out because of a high capacity infrastructure and an exemplary linking of the means of transport railway, road and air. Due to its possibility of a 24 hours a day operation for air freight flights, this airport offers ideal frame conditions for companies of the airfreight- and air logistics branch.

A perspicious enlargement as well as capacity reserves of those plants constructed, will guarantee all users and potential customers a longterm planning- and investment reliability. As a partner for the dewatering of several aprons, INOWA was chosen.

Large Separator Plant for Freight Aprons

Next to the runway South, there is a 53 hectar large apron for freight jets. In 2007 a large separator plant of a cleaning capacity of 1440 l / s was designed by INOWA for this apron area. This plant is another showcase for INOWA, the wastewater specialist.

A crucial point during the planning period was the fact, that this runway has to be open for a 24 hours a day operation for the airport Leipzig / Halle without any time limits - even during revisions, inspections or disposal- and maintenance work.
This highly sophisticated requirements can be met by our high quality constructions of INOWA separating components.

Due to its filterless, maintenance free separating technology, INOWA was able to score crucially in regard to those task assignments. Together with an absolute operation reliabilty, even during inspections, revisions and disposal, as well as with minimal operating costs that was the most crucial criteria that they decided on our modern INOWA-System. In a good cooperation between the executing company ARGE Apron 4+5, the city government Leipzig and INOWA, this project could be permitted and carried out within a very short time

Further Enlargement

In the course of the further enlargement of the airport and because of their positive experience with the existing INOWA Plant, INOWA got the order for another delivery of large separating plant for another apron, which was set in operation in 2012.

This large separating plant is designed in a site-concrete basin and offers a capacity of 600 liter / second.
